Bioluminescence Lace Bowl

The  lace bowls are created using a technique called free motion embroidery which I do with my thread offcuts, perfect upcycling! To make them practical I hand shape them in resin which looks like glass but less fragile. 
 
Each bowl has been embellished with beads and sequins to catch the light and enhance the varied threads. The Bioluminesence bowl was created using darker shades and beads to represent the bioluminescent sea creatures that populate our seas. 76% of ocean animals produce their own light through a series of chemical reactions.
 
The bowls can be created in any colour threads so do get in touch.
